It’s the brand spanking new single that has once again got California, USA talking about sensational, fast-rising independent country pop music star Christie Huff; and much like its predecessor “Don't Start Now” which came just over a month prior, "If I Fall" is doing things to fans’ and critics’ ears that they never want to stop. This week Christie Huff announced the release of the lyric video for the track. The video was shot by emerging Los Angeles videographer Brittany Berggren. During the show, hosts Lauren and Mallory interview musicians to find out how their songs came about – when/where they were written and recorded, who was involved and all the interesting stuff that used to be contained in the liner notes of CDs, vinyl records, cassette tapes and other physical music media, which are now sadly becoming a thing of the past. The Coronavirus pandemic has taken away luxuries we never knew we had, including eating fast food in a fast food restaurant really fast, the way God intended; going out at night for drinks with friends, not ninjas; and most of all, seeing our favorite artists live on stage and feeling their raw energy in person; maybe even getting a taste of their sweat if it's a really good day and all our stars are totally lined up - or wait, is that too much? Is that a weird thing to wish for? 

Luckily the pandemic didn’t take everything away, we are still able to see our favorite artists play live online. Christie Huff recently treated fans to a live stream concert with her full band, during which she performed one of her new singles, “Blow Off Steam”. They didn't get to taste her sweat but it was still pretty amazing. The concert was hosted by the Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation in Los Angeles, California, USA where she’s from. Live streaming concerts have brought much joy to die-hard music fans throughout the pandemic and will probably do so for a very long time if not indefinitely in the post-pandemic era of the music industry. It has opened fans’ eyes to a new way of enjoying their favorite artists and bands live in the comfort of their own homes or whatever surroundings they choose, and it has also given musicians and bands a new way to connect with fans. 

California, US country pop star Christie Huff has done a lot of live streamed performances throughout the pandemic and is becoming just as big of a sensation online as she was while making a name for herself at some of the West Coast of the USA’s popular live music venues and festivals, if not bigger. She has done everything from short interviews to full-length gigs and is now streaming live online at least once or twice every week, often more. This week she announced that she'll be playing a full length concert with her full band during an online music event hosted by the Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation (TOCA), a performing arts theatre in California which supports local talent and enriches the lives of Torrance locals through art. Christmas is around the corner once again. It’s that time once again to be jolly, and somehow we’ll all have to put this exhausting and unfortunate year behind us, even if just for that special day, to spend some time with our families, friends, and colleagues (the good ones), whether or not we can touch them (or smell their filthy socks - you know who you are 😆😆😆). 

It’s been a hard year; some of us may have lost loved ones to Coronavirus, others may have lost their livelihoods, and for some it’s that simple yet ever so crucial pleasure and comfort of being able to socialize without limits. It’s been hard for each and every one of us in one way or the other, but as the old saying goes, “all is well that ends well”. So let's not spend the next couple of weeks hiding under the bed waiting for the Coronavirus vaccine, let’s bring the year to an end in a spectacular way like we always do. Let’s have as much socially distanced fun as possible and do everything we would normally do - alone or with the few people we are lucky to have around us when Christmas day comes, so that we can usher in the next year in good spirits and good things can happen. 

But wait, we’ll need a new Christmas song – and guess what? We’ll have one.
